With broken hearts but unwavering faith, we announce the passing of our beloved
daughter, Sadie Blackmon, who went to be with Jesus on October 24, 2026,
at the age of 11.
Born on May 12, 2015, Sadie was a fighter from the very beginning. Throughout her life,
she faced challenges that would have overwhelmed most people, yet she met every
obstacle with unmatched strength, courage, and determination. Though she endured
countless medical hurdles, surgeries, a feeding tube, and the limitations of a wheelchair,
nothing could ever diminish her radiant smile or the light she brought
into the lives of those around her.
Sadie’s life was a testimony of resilience, love, and selflessness. Even on her hardest
days, she found ways to encourage others and share her joy. She possessed a
remarkable ability to put others before herself, making everyone around her feel loved
and valued. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit was inspiring,
and her love was unconditional.
She was an incredible daughter, a devoted big sister, a treasured cousin, and a loyal
friend to many. To her family, she was more than a blessing; she was our light, even in
our darkest moments. Her courage taught us strength, her faith taught us hope, and her
love taught us what truly matters.
While our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing that Sadie is now
healed and whole in the presence of her Savior. We rejoice knowing she has been
reunited with her beloved Gran Gran, Cheryl Wills, and Maw Maw, Shellee Deville. No
longer confined by earthly limitations, our sweet angel has no need for a wheelchair.
Today, she is walking the streets of gold, completely restored,
and undoubtedly talking up a storm.
Though she is gone from our sight, the imprint she left upon our hearts will never fade.
Her life was a miracle, her love was a gift, and her memory will be cherished forever.
Sadie leaves behind those who will miss her beyond measure: her loving mother,
Shaliea Blackmon; her devoted father, Brace Blackmon; her beloved siblings, Stella
Blackmon, Harmony Tyler, Braylen Tyler, and James Tyler; Aunt Brandi and Uncle
Heath, along with ccousins Landon and Cohen; Uncle B.J. and Aunt Tori, along with
cousin Madelynn; Aunt Alyssa, Uncle Albert, Aunt Shalaina, their families, and
countless other relatives, friends, caregivers, and loved ones whose lives were forever
touched by her beautiful spirit.
Until we meet again, our sweet Sadie, we will hold you in our hearts, carry your memory
in everything we do, and thank God for every precious moment
we were blessed to spend with you.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at
Grand Bay Funeral Home**.
A second visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until
